What this policy covers

This policy applies to the public website at advena.io. Consulting engagements with Advena are governed by a separate written agreement.

Data we collect

We do not run analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party cookies on this site. The site does not require an account and does not host a contact form. The only data we receive is what you choose to send when you email us directly.

Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security and operational purposes. These are not used to build user profiles.

How we use your data

We use the contents of emails you send us to respond to your enquiry, scope potential work, and manage the relationship if we engage. The legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the business.

Third parties

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site and our business: an email provider for receiving and sending correspondence, a hosting and CDN provider for serving the site, and a code hosting provider for our source code. Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Retention

We retain correspondence for as long as it is useful to maintain the relationship, and at minimum as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal data; the right to data portability; and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Our email and hosting providers may process data in jurisdictions outside the EEA. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards offered by these providers.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. The site may use strictly necessary technical storage to function correctly.

Children

This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
